The graffiti that you appreciate on the streets doesn’t take long to arrive on the scene as a Banksy stencil, poster, print or spray painted images. Banksy continually manages to get the blend of humour, politics and amazing graphics just right. It is this blend that has made his creation stand out and become almost instantly recogniseable.

His impact has hit thousands of art afficionados by way of his very unique signature technique of mixing stencil art and graffiti. The bulk of Banksy posters are actually mass produced which keeps the cost down and attracts a broader crowd, nevertheless there are still several signed posters that are much sought after and can command extremely high prices. Along with these, the original posters can be a fantastic investment. Look out for the limited editions.

All of the Banksy art that is made on the street is not everlasting. Street art and graffiti is easily defaced and the walls they are on can easily be knocked down or decorated on top of from time to time. Relocating work can be a tricky task. This is why for many, posters are good because they are portable and can be stored and moved easily. I understand…. its not quite the same as an original Banksy on a brick wall or canvas but for a lot of us for now this will just have to make do!
